Agency traces in metadata

IPTC and XMP fields remember where a picture came from. A “Shutterstock” credit or licence terms inside the file are the most common evidence in a claim.

Reverse image search shows where else the picture lives. If the original source is an agency page, the verdict is unambiguous.

Commercial fonts

A typeface served from your own server needs a web licence. We read the rights holder straight from the font file and suggest a free alternative.

How it happens

The letter arrives when everyone has forgotten the image

Every stock agency runs the same play. Only the number at the end changes.

Reverse image search sweeps the whole web. The match is logged with a date and page address.

From lawyers, with a calculation, screenshots and a reply deadline. Usually for several images at once.

A replacement your site will not notice

A new version is created from the original image, resized to the exact dimensions of the old one and put in its place. The filename stays, the layout holds, the original goes to a backup.

Your site will not notice the swap

The scariest part of this operation is breaking the layout of a live site. That is why only the file itself changes: drag the slider and see what happens to the picture.

The filename is kept, so not a single character of your post text changes
The new picture is resized to the same pixel dimensions — nothing jumps
All derived sizes and srcset entries are rebuilt
The original goes to a backup; rollback restores the file bit for bit
On any failure the replacement is rolled back entirely, never halfway

Not only pictures

Fonts and texts cost the same money

Type foundries send claims no less often than stock agencies, and copied text hurts your search positions. We check both.

We tell a font mentioned in CSS from a font file served by your server — legally these are different things
We read the rights holder straight from the font file and pick a free alternative
Font replacement works through a style override: theme files are never touched
We show which paragraph repeats verbatim on other sites and rewrite it

A log you can show to a lawyer

Every replacement leaves a record: when, which file, what the risk was and which signals caused it, what replaced it, checksums before and after, who performed it and on which pages the image was used. Exports to CSV.
